PLANNING 11 - Digipack ideas

These albums are all animation, however I will be taking inspiration such as backgrounds, poses and props in order to make my cover.

The use of location/background allows the character to have full attention as they are placed within the centre of the cover. Although, their clothing or any colours will not be seen, the outline of the character as a silhouette figure really makes it intense and dramatic. Therefore, having the two characters do a movement that would enable them to stand out, I thought if they were to jump and I capture the shot while they are in the air.

The characters are shown much more within this cover, by having two characters sat side by side, this gives them more focus and having props such as the carpet and buildings within the background, helps to build a picture of the story. And so this could work with my cover as I can get the two characters to be in the centre ether sat back to back or sat facing forward but looking in a different direction.

The character on this cover is facing her back towards the audience, however the use of clothing brings out the personality of the character. Having similar colours of the clothing and background gives a sophisticated and elegant look. The title being a different colour makes it stand out, however the thin font does not make it too overpowering but quite subtle.

This album cover also has a colour theme of the icy blue but also has a pop of colour with the other character's outfit, allowing their personalities to come out. Also the over lay of text on the outfits, makes  their faces and expressions have full attention. Having them in a back to back position but looking at each other shows their relationship as quite close and "strong". Therefore, this idea could work with the characters in my music video as they too have the same bond as being close friends, also more attention is given to the characters rather than the background which is beneficial for me as animated backgrounds are more powering.

The characters are shown in different scenes within this cover, having one character facing the audience and the other showing the back brings out the story of one keeping within herself and the other trying to help her as the expressions from her face clearly shows this. Using this for my cover would mean that it allows me to show the story of the music video of their friendship. Also the colours used are simple and very girly, having it blend within the two character images makes it look professional.

Within this cover, many characters are shown from various scenes, this allows me to express the story and theme by having the two characters shown doing different movements. But by the use of same colour running through, keeps it looking very sophisticated and professional.
